LEAGUE OF IRELAND PREMIER DIVISION PREVIEWS

-

DERRY CITY v BOHEMIANS (Ryan McBride Brandywell, 7.45)

Team news: Derry were boosted on Monday by Sadou Diallo’s return from injury, but Cameron Dummigan, Patrick McEleney and Colm Whelan remain absent. Bohs are missing Brian McManus, Rob Cornwall and Keith Buckley.

Talking point: Expect changes to the Bohs XI after Monday’s dismal display at home to Galway. City, though, can get the win on Alan Reynolds’ Brandywell return.

Ref: Rob Harvey. Odds: Derry 11/20, Bohs 5/1, draw 14/5.

Verdict: Home win

GALWAY UTD v SLIGO RVRS

(Eamon Deacy Park, 7.45)

Team news: Galway’s Karl O’Sullivan is suspended, while Regan Donelon is a doubt. Rovers recall JR Wilson after a ban, but Simon Power, Will Fitzgerald, Nando Pijnaker and John Mahon are injured.

Talking point: Morale is high in both camps after Monday’s wins, but Galway’s tight defence, the best in the league, gives them a platform for a win.

Ref: Damien MacGraith.

Odds: Galway 4/5, Sligo 15/4, draw

9/4. Verdict: Home win

SHAMROCK ROVERS v ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC

(Tallaght Stadium, 7.45)

Team news: Rovers are without Lee Grace, Gary O’Neill, Dylan Watts, Richie Towell, Seán Hoare, Rory Gaffney and Aaron McEneff, but Darragh Burns and Graham Burke may be fit. Pat’s travel without Joe Redmond, Tom Grivosti, Ryan McLaughlin and Axel Sjoberg

Talking point: Pat’s look for the famous ‘new manager bounce’ with Seán O’Connor in interim charge. Resilience can get the Saints a point. Ref: Paul McLaughlin.

Odds: Rovers 4/7, Pat’s 9/2, draw

3/1. Verdict: Draw

SHELBOURNE v DROGHEDA UTD

(Tolka Park, 7.45)

Team news: Shane Griffin is the Reds’ only concern. United lose ’keeper Jethren Barr and ever-present Gary Deegan to suspension, so Andrew Wogan steps in for Barr.

Talking point: Drogheda frustrated Shels at home last month and have morale high after their derby win, but Deegan’s absence leaves a hole in midfield which Shels can exploit. Ref: Gavin Colfer.

Odds: Shels 8/13, Drogheda 9/2, draw 5/2.

Verdict: Home win

WATERFORD v DUNDALK

(RSC, 7.45)

Team news: Waterford hope to recall Harvey Macadam, Kacper Skwierczynski and Ryan Burke. Zak Bradshaw’s ban is over, but Dundalk’s Ciarán McGuckin, Dara Keane and Robbie Mahon are out. ’Keeper George Shelvey starts a 10-game ban. Talking point: Waterford return to the RSC after back-to-back away wins. Their recent home form is poor but Dundalk struggles will continue. Ref: David Dunne. Odds: Waterford 5/4, Dundalk 9/4, draw 2/1. Verdict: Home win
