Norah’s smouldering new fireman boyfriend
FORMER Dragon Norah Casey is dating handsome fireman Peter Allen, the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal.
In an interview with a national newspaper last weekend Norah gushed in glowing terms about the new man in her life.
And now the MoS can reveal the handsome 6ft firefighter, who works with Dublin Fire Brigade, is also a former rugby player.
Norah, 53, met dashing Mr Allen, who is in his mid-thirties, in Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel over two months ago.
They have been dating since and Norah has introduced him to her son Dara, 15 and other family members.
Sources close to Mr Allen said: ‘It’s well known that Peter is dating Norah. ‘We’ve known for a while now.’ Dubliner Mr Allen is understood to be a sports enthusiast and previously played rugby for a Dublin-based team. He also has a keen interest in sports cars.
In last week’s interview Norah spoke of how her chance encounter with the hunky fireman has helped her move on from the tragedy of her husband Richard Hannaford’s death two years ago.
Norah said: ‘He is a firefighter and a paramedic. So he has a lot in common with me. I loved nursing. So we bonded straight away. He is an incredibly nice person.’ When contacted this week, however, Norah refused to comment on her relationship with Mr Allen. Her new love seems to be the start of a good run for Norah as she is to return to our screens with new RTÉ reality show Traveller Business School due to air next year.
Norah will impart her wealth of business knowledge to a group of Travellers as she puts them through their paces to prepare for business school.
