Has Amanda hooked up with another rugby hunk?
SHE shocked friends by splitting with her rugby-playing fiancé Craig McMullen last year. But now TV presenter Amanda Byram has been cosying up to another player, prompting a spokesman to deny they’re in a relationship.
The 40-year-old Dubliner has raised eyebrows after posting a series of pictures in recent days of her clinging to fellow TV presenter Gethin Jones.
The 35-year-old, who is a keen rugby player, presents ITV’s Daybreak show, but is perhaps best known as singer Katherine Jenkins’s ex-fiancé.
In one photo posted by Amanda, the pair pose with their arms around each other standing in front of a fireplace decked in Christmas decorations.
In another, the two pose with friends at an engagement party, and they also pose with a Bart Simpson toy.
As well as posing for pictures, Amanda and Gethin have been messaging each other on Twitter. After arriving back in London this week, Amanda wrote on the site that Gethin had decorated her house while she was away working. ‘THANKYOU @GethincJones 4secretly making my casa Christmassy for my return!’ she wrote.
The online shenanigans prompted some of her followers to suggest the two are in a relationship, with one fan writing ‘U lucky girl! That’s a fine man!! ;)’. However, a spokesman for Amanda said the pair were just good friends: ‘They have a really good friendship, nothing more than friendship.’. This is the second woman Gethin has been linked to since splitting from classical singer Katherine Jenkins in 2011. He was seen on a ‘dinner date’ with Kelly Brook in LA last month, shortly after she split from Danny Cipriani. He was also previously linked to Rob Kearney’s ex Susie Amy, but denied they were dating.
