Groove Festival

- Killruddery Estate, Bray, Co.Wicklow

This is a lovely compact festival that does little more than deliver quality acts in lovely surroundings with few pretensions. Cathy Davey will Sing For Her Supper, Nineties rockers James may urge you to Sit Down and Paloma Faith will inevitably be dressed to impress ready to deliver anything from torch songs to electronic dance. On the Sunday, David Gray will be Sailing Away, while old Beautiful South fans will wallow in their memories in the company of former members Paul Heaton & Jacqui Heaton. Catch King Kong Company early in the day if you can: with their form of indie dance, they are going places. (Day tickets from €49 [plus €4 booking fee]; www.groovefestival.ie)
