I’m grateful that the canvassers don’t dare knock
Philip Mann is disappointed because he received six leaflets but only one knock on the door from election candidates (MoS letters, May 11).
In contrast, I am pleased that most of the literature arrived through my letterbox without a knock on the door (and most of it has gone straight into the recycling bin).
Perhaps failure to deliver on promises makes politicians shy about knocking on doors.
