Lure of Liverpool

I find it amazing that almost 43,000 turned up for the game between Shamrock Rovers and Liverpool. I wonder how many bother to support a League of Ireland club? Not many, I would think. It’s even more surprising considering that the Liverpool 11 that started the match included four players who never played firstteam football all season and three other players who between them were only involved seven times. And none of the subs had played for the first team. Amazing!
