Gooch retirement an easy error
COLM COOPER has retired – well, at least as far as New York GAA is concerned. With Mayo’s trip to the Big Apple drawing a bucket load of bad publicity over whether the team should/shouldn’t have honoured the locals with a guest appearance on the eve of the game with New York, now it seems legendary attacker ‘The Gooch’ has been given early retirement, listed among ‘former’ players to attend a fundraising dinner for Kerry GAA in New York.
As for the details of the fundraising trip at the end of this month, the
Compiled by Mark Gallagher and Philip Lanigan Kerry County Board travel to New York at the end of May as part of their fundraising programme for the development of a Centre of Excellence at the Institute of Technology Tralee and the Kerry GAA Grounds Development at Currans.
Three major events are included on the itinerary of which two are designed to raise substantial funds for the development projects – a golf classic on the Tuesday and a gala dinner on the Thursday.
With the Championship up and running, Square

and analysts recently.
