Mr Romance with a weakness for fancy suits, boxing and toga parties
THERE’S more than a hint of bling to the image that Coleman ‘Frankie’ Sheehy portrays but little to explain why he was considered a suitable appointee for a €15,000 State board position at Irish Water.
A sharp dresser, he appears to be a fan of the better things in life, expressing a penchant for designer clothes from Hugo Boss and Louis Copeland.
His Facebook page – which was public until recent weeks – depicts a comfortable and glamorous life complete with a stunning Swedish girlfriend, references to high-end cars, exclusive nightclubs, frequent foreign travel and attendances at rugby internationals.
The controversial Mr Sheehy – an avid fan and friend of Dublinborn professional boxers Patrick and Eddie Hyland – is not afraid of a fight.
He has stepped into the ring himself, as a recent training photo demonstrates.
The only political affiliation he reveals is a Fine Gael one; alongside the Facebook ‘likes’ of fancy restaurants and hotels is the page of the party’s Dublin South East TD, Eoghan Murphy.
It is not clear if he is still with Swedish girlfriend Caroline Lövgren, who in 2012 wrote a blog detailing her life in Ireland.
At the time she was an executive for LinkedIn’s Dublin office but has since moved back to the company’s Stockholm office.
The blog, in which Ms Lövgren describes Frankie Sheehy as ‘my Irishman’, detailed romantic trips to Kilkenny and Kerry, walks along the shore in Greystones, as well as evenings in nightclubs and visits to popular Dublin pubs such as Café en Seine.
Photos posted online by another female friend, from the French Pacific island of New Caledonia, depict a raucous night out in what appears to be an Irish bar in Mallorca and show Mr Sheehy to be something of a party animal.
