Laura’s lovely ’tache gang growing
Celebrities join MTV star’s Misstache charity campaign to support Movember
LAURA WHITMORE’s Misstache campaign has been gathering pace, as a host of well known – and pretty – faces have been sporting pretend facial hair and posting the results online.
The new campaign, which Laura launched last week, is run in conjunction with the already well established charity drive Movember, which aims to raise awareness of men’s health.
Model Roz Purcell, who is dating singer Bressie, has donned a Misstache and tweeted her support for Movember. Wideeyed Roz wrapped a lock of her hair above her top lip to create the model-esque moustache.
Vogue Williams – the TV presenter wife of Brian McFadden – has also joined the craze and created a beard-and-moustache Misstache. In contrast to her blonde locks, Vogue’s Misstache was a dark brown.
During Movember, men grow moustaches to raise money for prostate cancer charities; Misstache is a way for women to support the cause.
To publicise the campaign, Laura posed with a big bouncy blow dry and her own Misstache. The MTV star is asking women to make
their own Misstaches and share the pictures on social media.
‘We’re going to have some fun with it to help raise awareness and change the face of men’s health by asking girls to create their own Misstache using their hair,’ said Laura.
And the Love/Hate ladies are not missing out on the chance to support the awareness drive as the series gears up for its hotly anticipated finale tonight.
Actress Lynn Rafferty, who plays Nadine – a woman caught in a love triangle with her boyfriend Aido and his friend Scotty – has also embraced her Misstache moment and posted the results online.
