Nadia’s get-out-of-jungle clause for sick mother

- By Niamh Walsh

NADIA Forde will be allowed to fly home from the jungle if her mother, who is being treated for cancer, succumbs to her illness, the Irish Mail on Sunday understands.

Last week we exclusively revealed that Nadia had been snapped up by UTV for the latest series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Sources have told the MoS that Nadia had extensive talks with producers before flying out. ‘She was very straight with them. She told them that her mother is very ill in hospital and is being treated for cancer.

‘She has it written into her contract that if anything serious happens she will be allowed to fly home.’ Nadia and her mother had been estranged for many years but the pair were reunited in August when her mother was admitted to St Vincent’s Hospital. Nadia flew home from London and spent weeks at her mother’s bedside with her granny Bernie.

The source said: ‘While Nadia hasn’t been close to her mother they did reconcile.’

Nadia was raised by Bernie, who is expected to be interviewed in Dublin for the show.

Nadia is the first Irish female to appear on I’m A Celebrity and she can expect a huge boost to her career as the show pulls in more than 12million viewers a night in the UK.

And while Nadia says she won’t be baring her soul about her ‘friendship’ with golfer Rory McIlroy, she will be revealing her impressive figure, as she has packed a green bikini for that all-important shower scene in the jungle.
