...And it isn’t the first time he’s mixed work and pleasure
IF HIS latest romantic conquest is anything to go by it seems Danny O’Donoghue has developed a pattern of mixing work and pleasure.
His longest relationship since becoming the Script frontman was with model Irma Mali who, you guessed it, appeared in one of the band’s videos. It was 2009 and the band’s career was just taking off, with the launch of their first video for the single, ‘Breakeven’.
The Lithuanian model was recruited to be an on-screen love interest but soon life was imitating art and the pair were an item. The video, about a breakup, shows Danny caressing Irma in bed and walking hand in hand on the beach.
Within weeks Danny admitted he was ‘besotted’ with Irma since she starred in his video and was sorry he didn’t asked her out on the day they first met. The couple dated for four years before splitting in 2012. Then last year while working as a judge on The Voice in the UK, he started dating one of the contestants he was mentoring, Bo Bruce.
Recently Bo, 29, revealed she was left ‘humiliated’ after the 6ft4 romeo dumped her when the show ended – and implied it was all a publicity stunt. More recently he was linked with a Miss Universe contestant from the Philippines, Janine Tugonon, who admitted in interviews that she and her boyfriend split up after he saw private messages from Danny. She had met the rocker backstage at a Script gig in Manila and he told her to follow him on Twitter, which allows users to message in private.
