Cecelia’s sold her house – P.S. she loves Jeffrey Archer

-

CECELIA AHERN has finally sold her Malahide mansion, the Diary can reveal. The millionaire author had already bought a new home in the same exclusive enclave but had to wait a little longer for her old house to sell.

Now, it seems that Cecelia and her husband David Keoghan have managed to sell their mini McMansion in favour of a rather larger one, and now they and their two young children, Robin, four, and her two-year-old brother Sonny, can look forward to Christmas in their new home.

PS I Love You author Cecelia has made millions with her novels and movie deals. And while she is a global success it appears that she failed to impress fellow author Jeffrey Archer recently.

The pair almost had a tête-à-tête on the red carpet at the Irish Book Awards this week.

Cecelia revealed afterwards that Archer took pity on her because she had ‘only’ sold 23 million copies of her books. Clearly a stranger to modesty, former politician Mr Archer boasted that he had sold more than 200 million copies of his books.

While Cecelia is a household name in Ireland and an instantly recognisable face, apparently the ill-informed Archer didn’t know who exactly she was when they posed together on the red carpet.

But the gracious Cecelia said that she still thought he was ‘lovely’.

However, she added that the septuagenarian author (and, lest you forget, former jailbird) had only started to write at her age so she hopes, in time, to surpass his success.

You wouldn’t bet against it.
