Hoddle rejects chance of managing Japan

GLENN Hoddle has turned down the chance to manage the Japanese national team. Japan are searching for a new coach after Mexican Javier Aguirre stepped down following their failure to go beyond the quarter- finals at the Asian Cup last month. Hoddle was approached after leaving QPR last week and gave the move serious consideration, with the lure of a bid for the 2018 World Cup finals, but decided against it due to business and family commitments.
