1997/8:

Reached 100 winners on November 5, beating his own record by 16 days.

Reached 150 winners on December 17, beating Scudamore by 51 days.

Reached 200 winners on February 28, beating Scudamore’s record by 58 days.

Reached 250 winners on May 14, the first jump jockey ever to do so.

Rode 253 winners in the season, beating Scudamore’s record by 32.

Equalled record for most winners ridden at a single Cheltenham Festival: five.

Reached 1,000 career UK winners in five years and 95 days, over five years quicker than Scudamore.

Reached 200 winners on February 18, beating his own record by 10 days and becoming first jump jockey to make it to 200 twice.

2001/2:

Reached 100 winners on September 17, beating his own record by seven weeks.

Reached 150 winners on November 18, beating his own record by 29 days.

Reached 200 winners on January 11, beating his own record by 38 days.

Reached 250 winners on February 25, beating his own record by 78 days.

Beat own season wins record by riding his 254th on March 2, and ended the campaign on 289.

2002/3:

Beating Richard Dunwoody’s record of 1,699 wins over jumps.

2003/4:

Reached 2,000 career winners in the UK.

2006/7

First jockey to ride 2,500 winners in UK.

2008/9

Became first jump jockey to ride 3,000 winners in Britain and Ireland.

2013/14

Became first jump jockey to ride 4,000 winners in Britain and Ireland.

2014/15

Equals career tally of old boss Martin Pipe when riding winner number 4,191 on July 16 and breaks it three days later.
