Anna Mitchell has been a muchrespected presence on the Cork music scene for a number of years. Her reputation was further enhanced by a 30-date European tour supporting Simone Felice in late 2014. Down To The Bone is not as pared back as its title might suggest as the countrified songs are generally lushly arranged. Vocally, and stylistically, the work of Christine McVie in her pre-Fleetwood Mac days comes to mind. Down To The Bone will surely bring Anna Mitchell to a wider audience.
