SHE is one of Ireland’s top models – and now Rosanna Davison is hoping to climb to the top of the book charts after signing a publishing deal for her first cookery book.

And the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal that Eat Yourself Beautiful will hit the shelves in the autumn.

‘I began writing it last summer and it’s going to be full of fresh, healthy, simple and delicious recipes,’ Rosanna said this weekend.

Last night, however, speculation centred on how Rosanna’s book would fare against an upcoming offering by fellow model Roz Pur-

‘It’s based on my training in nutrition’

cell. Roz, a stablemate of Rosanna’s at Andrea Roche Model Agency, said in January that she hoped to write a cookbook. Ms Purcell, author of the Natural Born Feeder blog, said at the time, ‘It will be stuff that will be relatively easy for people to make.’

It was the Tipperary native’s disclosure that she would have ‘a recipe book out by this time next year’ that prompted former Miss World Rosanna to drop a hint about her own project.

‘Watch this space,’ she said when asked about Roz’s cookbook. ‘I might get there ahead of her.’

Rosanna, 30, has studied nutrition and diet at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and has followed a vegan diet for years.

Last month, she said: ‘What’s important to me is having my nutrition qualification. It’s very easy to bandy about the idea of healthy eating and I would find it very difficult to take advice from somebody who is not qualified in the area.

‘Once you study it, you realise what’s healthy and what’s not.

‘There’s nobody else out there that has my qualification and also has a world title in the beauty area, and can combine them. That’s my unique selling point.’

This weekend Rosanna told the MoS that she is hugely excited at releasing her first book of healthy recipes and nutrition advice. She said: ‘It’s based on my training in nutrition, the experience I’ve gained from working with clients and my passion for cooking.’

Eat Yourself Beautiful is sure to feature shots of Rosanna as the model gives advice on how to achieve a balanced diet and lifestyle, and work is about to get under way. ‘Next week I’ll be working with Barry McCall and Neil Hurley for the cover shot and food shots,’ she said. ‘I’m really excited about it. It’s a dream come true, and something I’ve been working towards for the past four years.’

When contacted by the MoS, Roz Purcell declined to comment about Rosanna’s forthcoming book.
