Morgan bats off her cares with raunchy new single

-

SINGER Morgan Deane is putting her recent troubles behind her with the release of a new single. And judging by the suggestive lyrics, she’s not shy about getting her career back on track.

Take Me On The Floor is the new song from the Cork woman, who recently split from her South African cricket star husband Graeme Smith.

The pair married in 2011 after a whirlwind romance that grabbed headlines around the world, and have two children – a daughter aged two and a one-year-old son.

However, their marriage ended last month amid accusations that she had discovered Smith was seeking a divorce when he accidentally sent her a text meant for his lawyer.

South Africa’s Sunday Times newspaper carried a story claiming Smith had mistakenly sent his wife the message minutes after reassuring her that the relationship could be saved.

Morgan, who was a backing singer for Jedward in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, has not spoken publicly since news of the split. She has been trying to reignite her music career and even auditioned for South African Idol last year. If her explicit lyrics are anything to go by, she seems to be trying to make a break from the past, with a somewhat raunchy idea of what’s in store for her.

She sings: ‘Last night I left my memories at home…So do it, do it, do it, take me on the floor, you know what I’m looking for, I know you can give me more.’

We’re sure that’s not cricket terminology but it is almost certain to attract lots of attention. We just wonder what the video will look like.
