I’m not dating... I’m writing my blog, says Holly

FORMER Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter has been single for over a year, and hasn’t been asked out on a date in almost that entire time.

Holly also revealed that she hasn’t spoken to her Irish rugby player ex, Cian Healy, since their high-profile split.

As revealed by the Irish Mail on Sunday, Holly and Cian split last July after two years together. ‘I haven’t seen Cian at all,’ she said. ‘It’s weird we live so near each other but I didn’t see him at all. We don’t talk at all.’

And despite being a top model she also revealed that she hasn’t been on a single date this year. ‘No, not dating anyone. I’m nearly single a year, which is the longest I have ever been single since I was 17. This year I have not been on a date. That’s four months I guess. But there are a lot of nice guys out there. ’

So, Holly is ploughing her efforts into kepping her figure and developing her blog. And the MoS has learned, following controversy over her move from Andrea Roche’s agency to Assets, she has just moved back.

Holly is delighted. ‘I’m really happy to be back. I was with Assets for about a year but Andrea is really great at managing people who have blogs; with the likes of Roz and Pippa and Rosanna. The kind of girls that do interviews and appearances so it really made sense to go back this year.’

Despite the blog, though, one thing we won’t be seeing from her, unlike Rosanna Davison and Roz Purcell, is a cookery book.

‘My blogs are not about food. It’s about issues that girls come across every day; whether it’s dating and stuff or dilemmas. I did a few recipes at the start then I was like, what am I doing? I don’t even like cooking.’

After appearing in Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model and Republic of Telly she has not ruled out a return to the small screen. ‘I love doing TV. But it is quite stressful watching it because of the editing. But I’m lucky I have my family and friends that I can laugh it off.’
