YOUR 7-DAY DIET PLAN STARTS HERE

-

Phase One of the sirtfood Diet is what’s called the hyper-success phase – in a nutshell, it’s a blast to really rev up your metabolism. Phase Two, which we will outline later, is a maintenance plan designed to help you to continue to lose weight steadily without extreme calorie restriction.

You will need an electric juicer, if you don’t already have one. For those who don’t, you can get a decent one for as little as €30 these days.

Then, all you have to do is follow our stepby-step, seven-day, clinically proven plan for losing 7lb, which includes a menu plan and all the recipes you’ll need to see you through the week. each recipe serves one person unless stated otherwise.

During the first three days, you’ll consume only around 1,000 calories per day, made up of three sirtfood green juices, the recipe for which is below – staggered throughout the day – plus one full meal rich in sirtfoods.

On days four to seven, your calorie intake will increase to a maximum of 1,500 calories and you’ll swap to two sirtfood green juices and two sirtfood-rich meals per day.

By the end of the seven days, you can expect to have lost an average of 7lb.

Best of all, despite the reduction in calories, you won’t feel unduly hungry because sirtfoods have natural satiating effects which leave most people feeling pleasantly satisfied and full. and, of course, you even get to eat a few squares of delicious dark chocolate along the way!

You can drink as much plain water, green tea and black coffee as you like – researchers have found that the addition of milk can reduce the absorption of the beneficial sirtuin-activating nutrients.

For the first seven days alcohol – other than red wine in cooking – is off limits, but do remember that this is only for a week. You can enjoy red wine as part of the sirtfood Diet, as we will explain when we start Phase Two.

This phase will see you eating three balanced sirtfood-rich meals each day, along with a ‘maintenance’ sirtfood green juice.
