Cavan Brew’ up a victory

- By Colm Bradley

A STRONG second-half performance secured Cavan the win in this Division 2 clash at Brewster Park.

The home side produced very little after the break, having gone in 0-6 to 0-4 behind, with a Seanie Johnston goal the score that settled the game. It put Cavan six points to the good and they controlled the rest of the contest.

Tomas Corrigan had six frees for Fermanagh over the course of the hour but with only one Erne player scoring from play they failed to trouble the Cavan defence enough.

Gearoid McKiernan was impressive for Cavan in attack with Conor Moynagh eye catching in defence with both his sweeping and his breaks forward.
