Today’s NFL FIXTURES

ALL GAMES AT 2PM UNLESS STATED

- COMPILED BY PHILIP LANIGAN

Division 1

Cork v Monaghan Páirc Uí Rínn Referee: P O’Sullivan (Kerry) This is the game for the real Cork team to stand up and be counted. They were impressive in the first-half against Dublin but a distinct lack of game-intelligence cost them after the break as they gave away numerous silly frees. Similar indiscipline here will be punished by Conor McManus and that’s why Monaghan get the nod. Verdict: Monaghan

Donegal v Roscommon O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny, 3pm Referee: P Hughes (Armagh) This is a real test of Roscom- mon’s mettle, but at the same time, it is an examination of Rory Gallagher’s side. After all the carry-on in Tralee, can Donegal park their sense of grievance and return to the brass tacks of decent football they had played up until last week? The Rossies will make it tough, but Donegal should grind them down. Verdict: Donegal

Mayo v Kerry McHale Park, 2.30pm Referee: R Hickey (Clare) Kerry will be without the suspended Alan Fitzgerald but lost in all the messiness of last weekend was that Colm Cooper put the cherry on top of Kerry’s win with a wonderful point at the end. Gooch has haunted Mayo in the past and may do so again here, but the way Mayo battled to victory in Clones suggests things are falling into place for Stephen Rochford. Verdict: Mayo

Division 2

Armagh v Galway Athletic Grounds, 2.30pm Referee: S Hurson (Tyrone) Dismantled by Cavan last weekend, this game has the ring of a must-win encounter for Armagh. But the Tribesmen have been impressive so far and showed their battling qualities last week to draw with Meath. Verdict: Galway

Laois v Derry Portlaoise Referee: A Nolan (Wicklow) After last week’s defeat to Tyrone, Damien Barton’s team will get their promotion bid back on track here against a Laois team slipping into Division 3. Verdict: Derry Meath v Tyrone Navan Referee: F Kelly (Longford) Away from Division 1, Tyrone, particularly Ronan O’Neill and Sean Cavanagh are in fine form. Verdict: Tyrone

Division 3

Kildare v Sligo Newbridge Referee: N Mooney (Cavan) Verdict: Kildare

Longford v Tipperary Pearse Park Referee: S McLaughlin (Donegal) Verdict: Tipperary

Offaly v Clare Referee: B Cawley (Kildare) Verdict: Clare

Division 4

Antrim v Waterford Corrigan Park, Belfast Referee: P Faloon (Down) Verdict: Antrim

Carlow v Louth Newatch Dr Cullen Park Referee: S Longeran (Tipperary) Verdict: Louth

London v Leitrim Ruislip, 1pm Referee: M Collins (Cork) Verdict: Leitrim

Wexford v Wicklow Wexford Park, 2.45pm Referee: N Ward (Westmeath) Verdict: Wexford
