The Irish Mail on Sunday

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE?

-

In Ireland we have a lot to be proud of.

We have produced great poets, writers and musicians, our sense of humour is unparalleled, and we live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

All of us have a favourite place, a spot that captures the essence of what makes this island such a glorious place to live.

It’s somewhere that kindles memories of childhood, a place that makes you happy. It’s a spot where the scenery is so spectacular it takes your breath away no matter how many times you look at it.

The Irish Mail on Sunday wants you to take a picture of that special place and share it with us. Tell us in a few words why that scene is so special for you.

It might be a view of the beach you holidayed with your family as a child, the majestic sweep of a valley. What about the place you were proposed to? It might even be the view from city, town or village that captures this unique place we live in.

The best photographs will be printed in a special pullout in the Irish Mail on Sunday on June 12.

Remember, you do NOT need a high-end camera to capture that scene: a good quality image from a smartphone will work just as well.

€10,000 WORTH OF PRIZES TO BE WON:

A judging panel will choose their favourite entries. The winning image will receive a prize of €4,000. Any image selected to be printed in paper will receive a €100 cash prize. The top ten images will also receive a glorious framed reprint of their photo.
