Roz has perfect partner for lunch

-

IT’S a fixture in the diaries of Dublin Ladies Who Lunch - so it was no surprise that the Cari Lunch at the Shelbourne attracted the capital’s most highprofile women. Roz Flanagan – who co-hosted with Miriam Ahern – was joined by Lisa Murphy, both pictured left – along with Roz’s granddaughter, one-year-old Indie Rose, and her two daughters. Meanwhile, Cecelia Ahern, right, had left her two children at home, making it a truly girlie day out as she socialised with best friends Yvonne Connolly and Lisa Duffy, second right. For Lisa, who is married to Boyzone’s Keith Duffy, the luncheon was just the preamble to a busy day. After the Shelbourne, she changed out of her origami-style dress to meet hubbie Keith at Leeson Street’s House, where they were due to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary. HE’S best known as a crack current affairs radio presenter… but it turns out that Newstalk’s Pat Kenny has a secret past as a beauty pageant host. And this week, there was a blast from the past for the broadcaster when he was reunited with the woman crowned Miss Ireland on his watch four decades ago. Kenny was at the Origin Gallery this week when he bumped into Jakki Moore who was named Miss Ireland on the night he compered the competition in 1976. Jakki, pictured with Kenny this week, is now a successful artist and illustrator. And while the years have famously been kind to Pat Kenny, we think Jakki is looking even better than the Dalkey man. Sorry, Pat… ANOTHER week, another hip new hangout throwing open its doors in the capital. This week Porterhouse North relaunched with the owners of Lillie’s revamping the northside pub to great excitement locally.

Meanwhile, George’s Street is set to welcome a fancy new fish restaurant with Klaw opening their second venture in the capital.
