Ross’s failure

Bus Éireann management and Siptu have been at loggerheads for weeks, the wrangling between both parties has rapidly advanced to a possible all out strike by drivers on February 20.

Shane Ross, who in opposition was a mouthy thorn in the Government’s side, has now become an impotent figurehead wrapped up in his role as Transport Minister, earning a huge salary while doing very little to resolve the impending crisis.
