A good care day for GAA
THE attention devoted to Tyrone’s Mattie Donnelly and Kerry’s Shane Enright, on the field and in the dressing room, last weekend was impressive.
After both players sustained head injuries on the opening week of the Allianz NFL, nobody was in any rush to make light of what had happened.
With rugby authorities deciding to be brilliantly alert in recent years to the risks of head injuries, the GAA was going to have to also pull its socks up in relation to membership care.
That was done admirably last weekend.
