O’Callaghan helps Worcester stun Saracens
RUGBY: Ryan Mills kicked eight penalties as Aviva Premiership champions Saracens crashed to a shock 24-18 defeat at Sixways. There was no fluke about the surprise victory as the hosts – captained by former Ireland international Donncha O’Callaghan (right) – rattled their opponents from the start and maintained their aggression and determination throughout. Saracens were second best in all areas and never looked like winning. The visitors did manage the only tries of the game through Chris Ashton and Schalk Brits, with Alex Lozowski converting one and kicking a penalty. Ben Spencer added a late penalty. It was a huge win for Warriors, with their success giving them a five-point cushion over bottom club Bristol in the fight against relegation.
