Morgan takes on new role as ‘divorce guru’

SINGER Morgan Deane has re-invented herself as a motivational blogger and divorce guru as she moves on from her marriage break-up.

The Co. Cork beauty, right, who now lives in Australia, has launched a website and video blog, A Green Girl’s Guide to Divorce.

The career move comes as her exhusband, South African cricket star Graeme Smith, has welcomed his first child with his new partner, a South African businesswoman.

Morgan and Smith hit headlines here and in South Africa two years ago when they announced their split after four years together.

They have two children, Cadence, three, and two-year-old Carter.

Morgan learned of her husband’s plans to divorce when she received a text message that was intended for his divorce lawyer.

Now she has moved on with her new site and is also in a new relationship.

Explaining the name of her new business venture, she said: ‘Green, not because I am Irish. Green because I was green when I was going through my divorce.’

In a First Wives Club-style blog post on the website, she tells women who are facing a into a divorce to ‘keep a record of everything. Financials, documents, messages, everything. Because you never know when you will need it.’
