The debut album from the Dublin band is a necessarily emotional affair. Many of the songs deal with the feelings lead singer James Smith (whose brother Dan plays drums in the band) had about his father’s death by suicide. You can hear the influence of Fleet Foxes and The Maccabees, particularly when all four members harmonise on tracks such as Do Or Die, Five Words and Torrents. James Smith’s vocals and progressive rock detours puts one in mind of Yes at times but without any pretensions that comparison might suggest.
