Limerick pay the penalty in Dolmen defeat

-

CARLOW got their Allianz Football League ambitions back on track with a hard-earned win over Limerick in Netwatch Cullen Park last night.

In a dour struggle it was 0-7 to 0-5 to the away side at half-time but it was a John Murphy penalty when Ciaran Moran was fouled two minutes into the second half which proved decisive.

Carlow may have put the hearts of their supporters in their mouths but their short passing game frustrated Limerick who were playing catch-up for far too long.
