THE appointment of Donegal’s 1992
All-Ireland winning captain Anthony Molloy as an ambassador was well-trumpeted this week, with the Ardara man’s first task heading over to New York in April to try and raise funds for the team. But the publicity over Molloy overshadowed the county’s shelving of a plan to appoint its first-ever commercial manager, akin to Mossy Quinn in Dublin, for the foreseeable future. So much for keeping up with the Joneses.
