PAUL McGINLEY
need not worry – there is little danger of Rory McIlroy being derailed by malcontents on Twitter.
The aftershocks of a round of golf continue to rattle social media, but then it hardly takes an earthquake to set that landscape rumbling.
McIlroy, though, is well used to dealing with phony outrages. He had to deal with it when suggesting he felt more British than Irish, and again when he decided the Olympics weren’t for him after all.
Exercising his will makes McIlroy a target. He knows the drill.
