The Irish Mail on Sunday

‘No comment’ from PR maven

- By Seán Dunne

THE head of a PR company that represents the Bon Secours order was silent this week over remarks she made in 2014, dismissing reports in the Irish Mail on Sunday of a mass grave in Tuam. Terry Prone, who runs the Communications Clinic, made the comments in an email to a French documentary maker. Ms Prone told a producer who contacted her that they would find ‘no mass grave’ if they were to travel to Ireland.

On the day earlier this month that officials disclosed the discovery of ‘significant’ human remains, she said there appeared to be ‘a whole lot more to’ the situation.

The Irish Mail on Sunday made exhaustive attempts to contact Ms Prone over the last two weeks, calling to her home, her offices and by phone and email. A spokesman said that Ms Prone ‘won’t be commenting any further’.
