McEleney gets Lilies on track

- – JAMES ROGERS

DUNDALK got back to winning ways after their midweek defeat away to Derry City by brushing aside St Pat’s last night.

After dominating from the off, Stephen Kenny’s side hit the front a minute before halftime when Ciaran Kilduff turned home Patrick McEleney’s left wing cross.

The game was put to bed early in the second half by two moments of magic from McEleney.

He scored the first of a superb double on 47 minutes when he burst from deep, weaving past a number of challenges, to flick past Conor O’Malley with the outside of his right boot.

He then added his second six minutes later when he collected a pass from Kilduff to burst through on goal and toe poke past the outrushing keeper.
