End of Euro line for Foxes

-

IT has been quite a transformation at Leicester City, now the only Premier League team left in the Champions League.

Pity the same players couldn’t lift themselves for Claudio Ranieri, but you have to say well done to Craig Shakespeare for grasping his opportunity.

Leicester’s second leg win over Sevilla was one of the best European nights I have experienced. Jamie Vardy was terrific in everything he did.

Overall, the quarter-final draw against Atletico Madrid, with the home leg second, is as good as they could have hoped for in order to progress.

I don’t think they will. Atletico have too much quality in their team and Antoine Greizmann, Yannick Carrasco, Koke, Kevin Gameiro and Fernando Torres can all win the game in an instant.

They are all supremely talented players who could cause some damage in the first leg. If they get a positive result in Madrid, there is no team better at preserving a lead, they will have a game plan and won’t panic.

I think it will be too much for Leicester.
