Good man, Enda

Enda Kenny has done a fine job and continues to do so. His speeches in America last week were outstanding. He defused an charged situation with tactful good humour.

Few politicians can hold a candle to him when he is at his best. Enda guided Ireland through the rigours of austerity when it was not popular to do so.

Give him a chance to help resolve the crisis in the North and Brexit. Enda is the great survivor. He will know when it is time to go. It may be a long time before we see his like again. Michael Mernagh, Carrigaline, Co. Cork.
