Mills’s latest concerns the attempts of two men to establish a society for people to play their vinyl discs in the back of a pub. This being Mills, a rival society crops up in the same pub on a different night. To be honest, not much happens other than a load of nerds sitting round listening to music. Published to coincide with Record Store Day, it’s a big shout-out for the vinyl industry. I have long been an admirer of Mills but, on this showing, you have to conclude that his quixotic, offbeat talent has been somewhat compromised.
