Xposé mag to be taken off shelves

Glossy axed as brand hit yet again

-

TV3’s entertainment show Xposé – fronted by Glenda Gilson and Ruth O’Neill, among others – has steered its way through stormy times recently. Firstly, there was the unceremonious axing of three of the presenters, which was coupled with the prime-time show being shunted to 3e. Now the Diary has learned that the show’s glossy magazine, pictured, has been axed due to poor sales. The Xposé magazine was launched in 2012 to great fanfare, as it landed on shelves for gossip hungry public consumption. A mere two months later it was announced that it had become the ‘nation’s fifth favourite’ entertainment magazine. Now, just five years on, the magazine is no more. ABC circulation figures for Xposé magazine show that sales have taken a hit as the monthly magazine went from ‘what’s hot’, to ‘what’s not’. The decision has now been taken to quietly discontinue the edition. Sources also told the Diary that the loss of the magazine could have an effect on the Xposé TV show in terms of advertising revenue. But while the magazine is no more, the TV show continues to remain a hot favourite with audiences.
