Stomach-soothing shots
Use your juicer machine to make drinks that will flood your body with so much goodness. Chin-chin!
PINK GRAPEFRUIT AND GINGER
Serves 2 (20 cals per serving) 1 pink grapefruit, peel and pith removed, roughly chopped 2.5cm piece fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped ½ tsp raw honey (optional) Feed the grapefruit into the juicer, and then the ginger. Mix well and taste – stir through the honey if you really need the sweetness. Pour into shot glasses and chill in the fridge before serving.
CARROT AND FENNEL
Serves 4 (20 cals per serving) Small fennel bulb (150g), trimmed and roughly chopped 400g carrots, peeled and roughly chopped 1 orange, peel and pith removed, roughly chopped Feed the fennel into the juicer, add the carrots and then the orange. Mix well, pour into a small jug or shot glasses and put in the fridge to chill before serving.
SPINACH AND PINEAPPLE
Serves 4 (40 cals per serving) 100g spinach 1 piece fresh turmeric, peeled 1 fresh pineapple, trimmed and skinned, roughly chopped Put the spinach into the feeder of the juicer machine, then add the turmeric and pineapple. Mix well, then pour into a small jug or shot glasses and put in the fridge to chill before serving.
