Class mates and a class above

IT has well-known that Dylan Moran, Tommy Tiernan and Hector Ó hEochagáin all attended St Patrick’s of Navan and how it was pretty unusual for one school to produce three talented funnymen. However Donegal footballer Marty O’Reilly (right) has revealed his school year has a similar claim to fame in a sporting sphere. O’Reilly, who has been one of Donegal’s most impressive players in this campaign, was in the same year as middleweig­ht prospect Jason Quigley, who last week won the NABF title despite fracturing his hand, and Cork City captain Johnny Dunleavy. Indeed, their sporting talents weren’t confined to their current respective fields, as all three won a Donegal Under 14 hurling title with Seán MacCumhail­ls.
