Woods aiming for US Open
TIGER WOODS should be back in time for the US Open in June, says close friend Notah Begay.
The 14-time major champion, who has been beset by back problems, missed out on the Masters on the 20th anniversary of his 12-stroke pro debut win. However, Begay claims Woods has the season’s second major in his sights. ‘The US Open is a definite possibility,’ said Begay, who went to college with Woods and works for the Golf Channel.
‘We should probably look to him making one or two starts after the Players Championship in May to see where his game is at.’
