Events for all at Easter gathering

- By Seán Dunne rte.ie/cruinniu.

TOMORROW promises a rich roster of free public events as Cruinniú na Cásca takes place across the country.

From St Stephen’s Green in Dublin to Triskel Christchurch in Cork there’s something for everyone this Easter Monday.

Arts Minister Heather Humphreys has said the aim of Cruinniú na Cásca is to encourage people to get involved in the cultural life of their own country, through a national day of creativity.

Building on last year’s spectacular Easter Ris ing commemorations, Creative Ireland and RTÉ are collaborating on a huge range of free public events.

In Cork City free events include a screening of the Song Of The Sea at Triskel Christchurch and walking tours of Elizabeth Fort, while in Dublin there are more than 50 talks, spread across St Stephen’s Green, Dublin Castle, Smithfield Square and Custom House Quay from 11am to 6pm.

All events are free but talks and workshops should be pre-booked to secure a place.
