LGBT charity under scrutiny

THE charities regulator has requested that a charity promoting LGBT rights provide it with a breakdown of spending on staff and volunteer credit cards for the past three years.

The watchdog has asked Glen (the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network) to provide specific information including details of credit card spending and financial reports.

A spokesperson for Glen said: ‘Following a review of our corporate governance procedures, the board and management... have taken a number of steps, one of which has been to make a voluntary disclosure to the regulator.’
