Nadia goes gangster for her movie debut

- By Niamh Walsh

NADIA Forde has given fans a first glimpse of her debut feature film role after sharing a photo from the shoot in London.

The Dubliner has returned to this side of the world to begin filming Once Upon A Time In London in the English capital.

It was revealed last month that the Australia-based model had landed the lead female role in the gangster movie, which also stars Leo Gregory, Jamie Foreman, Terry Stone and Geoff Bell.

The movie sees Nadia, 27, ditch her usual teeny bikini for a more demure look as she puts her hair in pins and dons a 1940s belowthe-knee dress.

The film is being produced by the same team behind 2014’s Plastic, which starred Emma Rigby and Alfie Allen.

The gangster film is set in an era before notorious London criminals The Krays and follows the life of Jack ‘Spot’ and Billy Hill. Nadia will play the role of Rita Comer, wife of Jack.

Filming will continue until the middle of May, when Nadia is due to fly back to Australia.

She is currently living Down Under with her rugby player boyfriend, Dominic Day. The pair left their former home in Japan for Melbourne last year, where Dominic is signed to the Melbourne Rebels. Nadia has been racking up the air miles as she flits across the world juggling her career and romance. Since she left Japan she has been busy with work this side of the world as her career on-screen and on-stage has taken off. She appeared on-stage last month at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin in the stage version of the popular movie, The Wedding Singer.
