JUDGES’ VERDICT
This home is the perfect example of apartment living. An open generous home filled with natural light. This is quite amazing. Stripped back walls reveal the original wall colours from the 19th-century and original cornicing and hand-restored sash windows are combined with a contemporary marble kitchen and bathroom and an eclectic mix of furniture throughout. Much of the furniture in the apartment is designed and made by the owners themselves.
AMANDA’S VERDICT
Possibly my favourite home of the series. It shows a real respect for the building’s 19th-century heritage, but at the same time, it is very much a space for 21st-century living. The original Georgian walls are simply stunning and are wonderfully offset with contemporary details.
