progress of Kilkenny’s former All-Ireland winning minor captain Darragh Joyce and Westmeath’s Ray Connellan continues at St Kilda. Both have become regular starters now for Sandringham FC – St Kilda’s development team in the Victorian Football League. Joyce has been deployed in the full-back line with Connellan further up the field. However, their presence didn’t stop Sandringham going down to a heavy 25-point defeat to Richmond yesterday. Still, signs are encouraging that the pair are finding their feet down under.
