It’s a lot to blog about
SoSuMe’s in the money
Suzanne Jackson has a great deal to pout about this week.
She has learned she can splash out a bit extra on her summer wedding to fiance Dylan O’Connor thanks to her shrewd business sense.
One of Suzanne’s many companies just posted profits of nearly a quarter of a million euro for a year. And this comes after last week’s VIP Style Awards, when she was voted Ireland’s Most Stylish Woman. She spoke there about quitting her dead-end job and starting her blog SoSuMe.
Suzanne’s make-up palettes and eyelashes have also proved to be a huge earner, and next week she is to launch a new range of lashes called So subysuz anne jackson.
So after a whirlwind few years, Suzanne, 31, is sitting pretty on a growing cash pile. She is director of SanFran Limited, along with millionaire businessman Fran O’Gorman of distribution company Sundrelle. The pair set up the company in October 2015 and the accounts up to September 2016 show they have raked in profits of €225,097.
SanFran is the vehicle Suzanne uses to sell her make-up palettes, eyelashes and other branded beauty products. And her company SoSueMe also boasts a healthy balance sheet. As we previously revealed, it has a cash pile of €311,553, up from €34,781 the previous year.
After creditors and tax have been factored in, she has just over a quarter of a million euro in her SoSueMe accounts.
The recent saturation of the blogosphere has generated fierce competition. But keeping her stilettoclad feet one step ahead of those nipping at her heels, Suzanne has now established herself as brand in her own right as the selfmade queen of beauty and style blogs.
