not one for having a bet, but I noticed recently that David Moran is 16/1 to be named footballer of the year. I know that it is early days, but the reality is that, if a vote was cast right now, he would win it hands down. There is a long way to go, but Moran has now become the leader of this Kerry team – he reminds me of how Darragh used to loom over everyone else in the group – and with his team likely to go deep into the summer, I really like the look of those odds.
