TAX DEADLINE IS EXTENDED
The deadline for taxpayers to disclose offshore assets and avoid severe penalties has been extended from tomorrow until next Thursday. The Revenue has urged taxpayers to make a voluntary disclosure of money or assets abroad on which tax should have been paid until May 1, under an amnesty measure announced in the last budget.
Those who ‘come clean’ before then and admit liabilities can avail of reduced penalties as low as 10% on any money owed.
