Take a leaf from Ronnie’s book!

While many fans of snooker ace Ronnie O’Sullivan were left disappointed over his exit from the world championship earlier in the week, they could take a lot of consolation from the exemplary sportsmanship shown in defeat.

The warm embracing of his conqueror Ding Junhui was heartwarming and in direct contrast to the less edifying attitude of some other high profile sportspeople following losses.

There have been instances of participants refusing to shake hands with victors, talking out frustration on referees and being less than pleasant towards media interviewers. While Ronnie O’Sullivan has had his share of critics in the past, his sporting conduct this week is an example that could be copied by many others.
