XPOSÉ presenter Cassie Stokes really is on top of the world. Ten years ago she was working in hair salon Brown Sugar and now she is back fronting a campaign for the Dublin studio.

The former front-of-house salon staffer is revelling in her new life, where her love of fashion and glamour can be given free rein.

‘I was always into fashion but being a host of Xposé I have perhaps a new-found appreciation for red carpet dresses and events. And I enjoy every minute of the getting-ready process and then going to the event.’

Cassie, right, is the face and the hair of Smart Blondes Use Smartbond campaign, an initiative that aims to celebrate diversity in human hair colour while highlighting prejudice that sometimes surround certain shades.

However, she has played down the notion that blondes have more fun.

‘I think fun is a state of mind,’ she said. ‘If you get a gang of girls of any hair colour together, there is bound to be fun.’

She is also having the time of her life as host of TV3’s magazine show, she said.

‘I started just over a year ago and I couldn’t be more grateful,’ she said when she spoke to the Diary by telephone.

‘I absolutely love my job. I’m working in the sun in Copenhagen today.’

And Cassie and her fellow hosts Glenda Gilson and Karen Koster are taking the show on the road with the Xposé Vichy Tour bus which will travel the country this summer.

‘I am really excited,’ she said. ‘To get to tour the country and meet everyone will be great.’
